Imaging

The Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging Section is a multi-center collaboration of multimodality cardiac imagers dedicated to providing education and fostering collaboration throughout the Illinois region. The section organizes quarterly meetings on timely topics in multimodality cardiac imaging.  In addition to multimodality imagers, these sessions include key stakeholders including interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure, and cardiac surgery to foster robust multidisciplinary discussion.

A key feature of the meetings is placing fellows and trainees at the forefront through case-based presentations with ample opportunities for interactive dialogue. Sessions go in-depth into clinical diagnosis, pivotal trials, image acquisition, physics, and novel imaging-based techniques. This series, which has been generously supported by the Illinois ACC, has been ongoing since 2023 and continues to grow as a vibrant community for advancing cardiac imaging education and collaboration across institutions.
